You are engaged and the planning has begun, maybe you have read our journal Rental, with Wedding Bells and Whistles On and have decided that renting your wedding dress is the way forward. So what's next? Well it's time to start trying some dresses on, but hang on 'how does that work' we hear you ask, let us show you the way.

Renting a wedding dress may appear to be a compromise to some brides, but here at Something Borrowed HQ, we like to challenge that concept. That is why when our founder Christie started Something Borrowed she vowed to give brides the same special service and experience that they would receive if they were buying their dress, or actually an even better one. She recognised that trying on dresses, all giddy and filled with excitement, as your best friends, mother, mother in law looked on in adoration was actually an integral part of the process that many brides look forward to, therefore it needed to be an option for our Real SB Brides too. So the idea of the try on service was born. An add on service that brides can opt to utilise if they want that special day with their closest ladies around them.

We believe it allows our brides to explore what might be the right dress for them and always recommend selecting a few differing styles, and perhaps even one that you didn't think was the look you were going for, as these can often end up being the one! Our service enables you to also have that special day in the comfort of your own home, taking as much time as you like to review each dress, without the time pressure of a set appointment in a shop. You can try it on with shoes, a change of undergarments if necessary, jewellery, even have your hair stylist do your hair for the event too. The flexibility built into this option means you can take your time to make the right decision and assess which dress works best for you without any pressure to buy or choose 'the one' in the hour slot you have booked. And to top it off, you can even sleep on it and try them all on again the next morning before you finally return them to us. 

So how does it actually work? It really is quite simple. Review our collection of dresses here and choose the dresses that you would like to try on before you rent. Once you have selected the dresses, choose the size you would like to try and select 'Home Try On' in the drop-down. These will be added to your shopping cart with a cost of £75 for three dresses plus postage. You select your desired try-on dates and we will send the dresses to you.
