Rewritten bridesmaid dresses have a way of winning over a whole bridal party. They're cut in soft, fluid satin that catches the light beautifully, they come in shades that sit together like a well-chosen palette, and the shapes are designed to be mixed, so every bridesmaid can wear the neckline she feels best in while the group still looks considered.
Best of all, they're dresses people genuinely wear again: to a summer party, a black-tie dinner or a friend's wedding. That's exactly why we love them here. A dress that's worn many times, by one person or several, is a kinder dress for the planet.
This guide walks you through each Rewritten style we carry, who it suits, the colours and sizes we have, and how to put them together. Every dress below can be bought and hired.
The Rewritten Brooklyn dress
A bias-cut satin slip with a low cross back, adjustable spaghetti straps and a detachable waist tie. It's simple, easy to wear and properly flattering on most shapes, which makes it the one we suggest when a bridal party can't agree. It suits bridesmaids who like a clean, minimal line and a little drama at the back.
- Brooklyn in sage green: XS (UK 8), M (UK 12), L (UK 14-16)
- Brooklyn in burnt orange: XS (UK 8), S (UK 10), L (UK 14-16)
- Brooklyn in forest green: XS (UK 8), M (UK 12)
- Brooklyn in olive green: S (UK 10)

The Rewritten Florence Waterfall dress
A midi-length satin wrap dress with draped short sleeves, a waist tie and a waterfall hem. It's the one to choose if you'd like a little sleeve and a dress that moves. It suits bridesmaids who prefer some coverage on the arms, and it's lovely for daytime and garden weddings.
- Florence Waterfall in sage green: UK 10, 12, 16, 22
- Florence Waterfall in burnt orange: UK 8, 12, 14, 22

The Rewritten Porto dress
A floor-length, one-shoulder satin dress with a sculptural, elegant neckline. It suits bridesmaids who love a statement shoulder and a full-length silhouette, and it sits beautifully alongside the Brooklyn and the Florence Waterfall when your bridesmaids want different necklines in the same colour.
- Porto in olive green: XS (UK 8), S (UK 10), L (UK 14-16)
- Porto in sage green: XS (UK 8), S (UK 10)

Buy for £135, or hire from £82 for four days.
The Rewritten Roma dress
A bias-cut satin dress with a high-back halterneck, cut for lovely movement when you walk. It suits bridesmaids who like a sleek, sculpted shoulder line and want a dress that feels as good on the dance floor as it looks in photographs.
- Roma in sage green: UK 8, 10

Buy for £149, or hire from £90 for four days.
The Rewritten Pollenca dress
A bias-cut cowl-neck dress in viscose satin, with a subtle side split, a detachable sash and adjustable straps. The soft cowl is flattering and a touch more evening, so it makes a lovely choice for a maid of honour who'd like to stand out gently from the group, or for a black-tie celebration.
- Pollenca in black satin: UK 16

Buy for £129, or hire from £78 for four days.
How to mix Rewritten styles
- Keep the shade, change the neckline. Choose one colour, say sage green, and let each bridesmaid pick the shape she loves: the Brooklyn's slim straps, the Porto's one shoulder, the Roma's halterneck or the Florence Waterfall's draped sleeves. The shared satin and colour hold the look together.
- Mix lengths with intention. The midi Florence Waterfall and the floor-length Porto look lovely together if you balance them, for example alternating lengths down the line, or putting the longer dresses on either end in photographs.
- Blend tones from the same family. Sage, olive and forest green sit naturally side by side, and burnt orange adds warmth for autumn weddings. Stick to two or three neighbouring shades so the group feels deliberate rather than random.
- Give your maid of honour a quiet point of difference. A different neckline, such as the Pollenca's cowl, or a deeper shade lets her stand apart without breaking the palette.
Rewritten dress sizing
