The start of a new year always feels full of possibility - exciting, hopeful, and yes, sometimes a little daunting, especially with wedding season just around the corner.
At Something Borrowed, we’re here to support, inspire and gently guide you through the process of creating a wedding that feels truly your own. Whether you’re at the very beginning of planning or refining the finishing touches, this is a moment to slow down, take stock and make considered choices.
This year brings some exciting developments for us. We’re delighted to welcome Amelia Taylor as our new Style Editor, introduce beautiful new brands and pieces to our collection, and continue growing our community of lenders. We’re also looking forward to hosting in-person events very soon - something we can’t wait to share more on.
Valentine Bridesmaid Styling
February invites a softer, romantic colour palette - and we’re embracing it fully. Our February edit explores timeless shades with a modern twist: baby pink paired with oxblood, terracotta satins, and bold pops of fuchsia. These tones feel romantic without being predictable and work beautifully across seasons.

We also love seeing thoughtful colour coordination extend beyond the bridal party. A subtle nod to pink or tonal accents in pocket squares or ties can bring the whole look together effortlessly.
How to Style Something Borrowed

Lace isn’t going anywhere, and one of our favourite pieces this season is The Blanc Dress by Oui The Label. With its silk bust and soft layers of ruffled tulle, it feels ethereal and modern all at once.
When styling this dress, we focused on highlighting the tulle — letting it become a recurring thread throughout the wedding. From ruffled shoes and bags to bouquet wrapping and even table details, it adds a sense of playfulness that feels perfectly suited to a celebration of love.
Accessories are kept minimal and classic — a tennis bracelet, simple diamond studs — allowing the texture and movement of the dress (and of course the rings) to shine.
You can explore the full styling edit, including accessory links, in The Amelia Taylor Edit.
The Beauty Edit: Preparing with Intention
When it comes to wedding beauty, timing is everything. Many of the most effective treatments work best as part of a course, so planning ahead and consulting with trusted professionals is key.
Some of the treatments Amelia’s brides are booking in the lead-up include Hydrafacials, microneedling, BBL & MOXI, LED masks, and subtle “baby Botox” - all chosen for their ability to enhance skin gradually and naturally.
Daily rituals matter just as much as in-clinic treatments. Prioritising sleep, nourishing food, hydration, and moments of calm can make a real difference. Think of it as eating your skincare — what you put into your body shows in your skin.
Beauty preparation isn’t about perfection. It’s about feeling well, rested, and confident as you move towards the day itself.
Whether you’re planning a wedding, styling a bridal party, or preparing for a special moment, we’re here when you’re ready.
With love,
Something Borrowed
